The European Association of Finland has recognized Eustas Stasevsky, a journalist for the Yle broadcasting company of Ukrainian origin, as European of the Year, and his brother Lucas and sister Dalia, who are artists; this was reported by Yle.
The prize is awarded for merits in promoting European values, international cooperation, and democracy.
The Stasevsky family spent their childhood in Tampere. Their father was Ukrainian, their mother was Finnish, and both were artists.
Before becoming a journalist, Eustas Stasevsky worked as a pianist, piano teacher, and lecturer. He now lives in the center of Kyiv and reports on the war in Ukraine for the Yle website, radio, and television.
Dalia Stasevska is an internationally successful conductor. Lukas Stasewski is a professional cello player currently making a documentary about Ukraine.
