In Poland, the number of Ukrainian entrepreneurs joining the franchise model of the popular Żabka retail chain is rapidly growing. As of today, about 1,100 Ukrainian citizens manage stores in this chain, and almost 600 new franchisees from Ukraine have joined it in the last year alone, Inpoland writes.
Ukrainians have become the second-largest national group among the company’s partners, after Poles. According to the company, approximately 1 in 10 stores in the chain is managed by Ukrainians.
In general, the Żabka chain continues to actively expand. By the end of 2025, it had more than 12 thousand retail outlets, including facilities outside Poland. Over the past year alone, more than 1,000 new stores were opened, indicating the retailer’s dynamic growth and the growing demand for the franchise.
Most Ukrainian franchisees have been living in Poland for a long time. It is estimated that 44% of them have lived in the country for 7 to 10 years, and another 32% for 4 to 6 years.
