The European Council has approved allocating €2.8 billion in financial support to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program. This instrument has served as Ukraine’s key support mechanism since 2024, with a total disbursement of €26.8 billion to date. The program’s allocated budget for the 2024-2027 period amounts to €50 billion.
Deputy Prime Minister Svyrydenko stated that as of late May 2026, 86 steps in Ukraine’s Plan have been completed, while 65 steps are currently underway. She also expressed gratitude to the Verkhovna Rada for backing the relevant decisions and to European partners for their support and trust.
Additionally, in December 2025, €2.3 billion, including €2.1 billion in credit funds and €200 million in grants from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility program, was deposited into Ukraine’s state budget.
