Director and journalist Mstyslav Chernov continues to collect prestigious international awards. His documentary “2000 Meters to Andriyivka” won the Emmy Award in the nomination “Best Documentary Direction”.
The award was presented at the News & Documentary Emmy Awards ceremony in New York. The film, which tells of the fierce battles for Andriyivka near Bakhmut in the fall of 2023, became a favorite for the award. The film was nominated for six awards at once: for best documentary, documentary about contemporary events, script, direction, cinematography, and editing.
It should be noted that the main award for the best documentary went to the film “Prime Minister”, dedicated to the former head of the government of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern. The film also won in the “Outstanding Politics and Government Documentary” category.
