As part of the “Stolen Art” project, singer and TV host Dasha Astafieva has brought to life Mykhailo Bryansky’s painting “Portrait of a Girl in an Embroidered Dress.”
This was reported by the Kherson Art Museum.
Folklorist Yaryna Sizyk and animation director Maria Dukhovna Lychko, in collaboration with the Kherson Art Museum, founded the “Stolen Art” project, which is dedicated to paintings that were illegally taken from the museum’s collection by occupiers in 2022.
It is noted that Dasha Astafieva is wearing an embroidered dress that closely resembles the shirt depicted in the painting. This shirt was embroidered by local guide Inna Mykutska during the occupation of Kherson.
