"Children of Ukraine": an open-air exhibition opened in Portugal

The Ukrainian community in Portugal has opened an open-air exhibition, “Children of Ukraine,” dedicated to the second anniversary of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine. The exhibition is at the D. Pedro IV (Rossio) square in Lisbon. These are photographs taken by Portuguese journalists who have visited Ukraine in recent years.

In total, 24 panels of the exhibition tell about the terrible suffering of children and call on the world to jointly protect humanistic values and principles enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Rights of the Child. The exhibition was sponsored by a Portuguese man who asked to remain incognito.

In total, as of January 2, 2024, 515 children have been killed and 1178 injured as a result of Russian aggression, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
