Canada has extended the Canada-Ukraine Emergency Travel Authorization (CUAET), which allows Ukrainians to reside and work in Canada.

“As Russia’s war against Ukraine continues, Canada continues to support forcibly displaced Ukrainians through the CUAET program by extending its validity. The program allows this category of people to work and participate in the Canadian economy while they are in the country,” the statement said.

Her department clarified that Ukrainians who arrived in Canada under the CUAET program before March 31, 2024, will be able to apply for a three-year extension of their work and residence permit, valid until March 31, 2027.
