A book about the resilience of Ukrainians during the war, “Bread and War” by the famous British journalist, writer, and volunteer Felicity Spector, was presented in London. Since the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Ms. Spector has become a true friend of our country.
She actively participated in humanitarian initiatives, supported the Bake for Ukraine project, helped deliver humanitarian aid to the de-occupied territories – Kharkiv, Izyum, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and Kostiantynivka – and participated in fundraising for the medical needs of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians.

This experience is the basis for her new book, Bread and War, a sincere, profound, and touching story about the Ukrainian people’s strength of spirit, resilience, and humanity.
The presentation occurred at Tatar Bunar, a new Ukrainian restaurant in London opened by renowned Ukrainian restaurateurs Anna Andrienko and Alex Cooper. The restaurant’s atmosphere was the perfect backdrop for a conversation about human support, solidarity, and the power of culture.
