Artem Kotenko will represent Ukraine at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song “Dim/Home”.
The 12-year-old Artem’s song is dedicated to the theme of home as a place of strength and warm feelings. It describes how important it is to have a space that gives comfort and security, especially for Ukrainians who have lost their homes or had to leave them because of the war.
The jury gave Artem 5 points, and Ukrainians voted in the Diia app for six points.
In total, he received 11 points, the same number as Zlata Ivaniv with her song “Necklace”. However, it was Artem who won because he received more points from the audience.
The final of the competition will take place on November 16 in Madrid.
