The charitable organization of the London Book Fair, Book Aid International, will send another batch of books to PEN Ukraine, which will be divided among Ukrainian libraries as part of the Unbreakable Libraries project.
Book Aid International will donate 15 thousand copies.
Earlier, the organization transferred over 25,000 books to Ukraine and reported in a commentary to Publishing Perspectives that PEN Ukraine sent 10,000 of them to 68 libraries, some located in the frontline and de-occupied territories. The publications were sent to the regions of Chernihiv, Kherson, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernivtsi, and Donetsk. PEN Ukraine was approached by PEN Ukraine during the London Book Fair in 2013 with a request to publish the book for libraries.
Book Aid International President Nigel Newton called on more publishers to join the collection of books for Ukrainian libraries.
