On April 25th, at the headquarters of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, representatives of diplomatic missions, employees of the Council of Europe Secretariat, and members of the international expert community and the public had the opportunity to experience the real emotions of the early days of the war in Ukraine after the start of the full-scale invasion by attending the screening of Alan Badoev’s documentary film “The Long Day.”

The screening was opened with speeches by the Chairman of the organizing association MICT France-Ukraine, Pavlo Pushkar, the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe, Boris Tarasyuk, and the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe on Migration and Refugees, David Best.

At the beginning of the screening, in a video message, the director of the film, Alan Badoev, talked about his goal in creating the project – to show the war in Ukraine without scripts or retakes.

The international film tour of the documentary film began with a screening at NATO headquarters in Brussels on the eve of the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion and continues its journey across Europe.
