US Republican presidential candidate and former head of state Donald Trump gave an interview to American entrepreneur Elon Musk.
The conversation was supposed to start at 20:00 on Monday, August 12, Eastern American time, but was delayed by 45 minutes. Musk explained the delay with the broadcast by a massive DDOS attack on social network X, aimed at Trump.
“This massive attack illustrates that many people are opposed to people hearing what Trump is saying,” Musk said.
He noted that the interview with Trump is aimed at independent voters who are “just trying to make a decision.”
At the beginning of the two-hour conversation, the former president touched upon the assassination attempt on him during a rally on July 13 in Pennsylvania. According to him, the US Secret Service acted “professionally,” but its employees “lacked coordination.”
“Something surreal happened, something I’ve never experienced before. It was immediately clear to me that it was a bullet, and that the impact was very strong,” Trump said.
It is now known that the Republican was shot by a 12-year-old boy. He wounded Trump in the ear. In addition, one man who was standing behind the former president was killed and two other people were injured.
He also touched on the presidential election to be held on November 5. According to Trump, the current American leader, Joe Biden, refused to participate in the election race as a result of the coup because he did not want to withdraw his candidacy, but the Democrats insisted on it.
Trump compared Biden himself to a vegetable, as he saw footage from his vacation where he “could barely walk.”
Trump considers his rival in the Democratic election, Vice President Kamala Harris, to be even more incompetent than the current occupant of the White House.
According to Trump, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un does not like Biden and considers him unwise.
