A large-scale forum, Ukrainian Day in Moldova, was held in Chisinau

The National Congress of Ukrainians of Moldova (NCUM) organized a large-scale annual forum, Ukrainian Day in Moldova (UDM), in Chisinau, dedicated to European integration, community strengthening, and education.

The event brought together members of parliament and government, representatives of UN and EU missions, and international partners to discuss strategies in the context of the challenges of war and common priorities on the path to European integration.

According to the report, since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian community in Moldova has implemented 15 technical assistance projects that have reached more than 54,000 refugees and Moldovan citizens.

Discussions at the forum focused on finding joint solutions to restore and strengthen communities, ensure sustainable development of Ukraine and Moldova, develop joint projects, and move from humanitarian aid to long-term initiatives on the path to European integration.

As part of the event, 12 agreements were signed between the mayors of Ukraine and Moldova as part of the initiative of the Council of Mayors of the National Commission of Ukraine. Also, the first school educational program in Moldova, Ukraine, was presented and implemented by the UCU in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova and international partners at the Taras Shevchenko Gymnasium in Chisinau.
