16-year-old Igor from Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, helped Berlin police detain an armed robber and saved a local resident.
According to the teenager, the robbery incident occurred on February 1. At that time, he was at work in a coffee shop when he heard screams.
“The seller was selling his Rolexes [watches] and arranged to meet near a flower shop. The buyer arrived, grabbed the Rolexes, shoved them into the flower shop, and ran. I left the coffee shop and ran after him,” the Ukrainian shared.
Igor noted that he caught up with the robber on a neighboring street and held him until the police arrived. The teenager also took the watch from the criminal and returned it to its owner. The Ukrainian added that he did not know what weapon the robber had.
Igor added that, since childhood, he had dreamed of helping people and is now preparing to enter the Berlin Police Academy.
