Zelenskyy receives the Four Freedoms Award in the Netherlands

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received the international Four Freedoms Award in the Netherlands, which was awarded to the Ukrainian people for their resilience and fight against Russian aggression. King Willem-Alexander and Prime Minister Rob Yetten attended the ceremony in Middelburg.

The Roosevelt Foundation said the 2026 award was presented to Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people in “recognition of their courageous fight for our freedom and democracy under extremely difficult circumstances.” Citing the hardships experienced by the people of Ukraine, Zelenskyy said that the freedom to live without fear cannot be taken for granted.
