Ukrainian contemporary art gets a new chance to declare itself internationally. The famous artist and lighting designer Mykola Kabluka, founder of Expolight and Kabluka Light and Digital Sculptures, became a participant in the legendary Burning Man 2025 festival in the USA. There, he will present his innovative installation, The Point of Unity.
The conceptual basis of The Point of Unity is a revolutionary approach to working with light and space. The installation is built on complex optical effects that explore the interaction of light with the environment.
The main idea is to “root” the sky into the ground — to create the effect when the sky surrounds a person from above and below. After its premiere at the Burning Man festival, The Point of Unity installation will travel to Ukraine. Currently, the team is choosing a place that will correspond to its content and symbolism. The work of art will be available for public viewing, allowing Ukrainians and guests of the city to have a unique experience.
