Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk is in talks with the Zuffa Boxing promotion company to hold a farewell fight in his career against former world champion Deontay Wilder in the United States.
According to Usyk’s team director Serhii Lapin, the Ukrainian has already identified Wilder as a desired opponent for his last fight.
Wilder’s manager, Shelley Finkel, confirmed that the American would agree to the fight if he receives a suitable offer. However, no agreements have been signed yet.
According to BBC Sport, the organizer of the fight may be Zuffa Boxing, a new boxing project headed by UFC president Dana White. The company, financed by Saudi Arabia, seeks to change the traditional system of professional boxing by creating its own model and championship titles.
