UNESCO to consider preservation of three World Heritage sites in Ukraine in July

The conservation of three World Heritage sites, Kyiv, Lviv, and Odesa, will be considered at the 47th meeting of the World Heritage Committee in Paris in July 2025.

During his visit to Paris, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications, Serhiy Belyaev, met with the Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Center, Lazare Elundo Assomo. The parties discussed the preservation of World Heritage sites in Ukraine. UNESCO representatives noted that one key task for ensuring the protection of the World Heritage Site in Odesa is to create an effective management body.
