A joint production site of Ukroboronprom and the German defense concern Rheinmetall, a workshop for repairing and producing armored vehicles, has been launched in Ukraine.
This was announced by Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshyn.
This is the first project implemented in partnership between Ukroboronprom and the German defense giant.
According to Kamyshin, the launch of the workshop will allow for faster repair of foreign equipment and, accordingly, faster return of it to the front line. In the future, new models of armored vehicles will be produced there.
The minister emphasized that Ukrainian specialists work in the shop under the technical supervision of their German colleagues.
