From now on, to acquire Ukrainian citizenship, one must pass exams on the basics of the Constitution and history

In 2025, Ukrainian citizens registered approximately 33,000 new businesses in Poland.

According to the data of the Central Register and information on economic activity, Ukrainians already account for more than 10% of all newly registered companies in Poland.

In January and February 2022, Ukrainians created about 200 companies per month in Poland. Still, later there was a sharp jump, resulting in Ukrainian citizens registering 18,193 companies in Poland throughout 2022. In 2023, Ukrainians founded 30,325 enterprises in Poland, and in 2024, the number was 32,248.

The passing year promises to be another record-breaking one. By the end of November 2025, Ukrainians registered 32,053 companies. If the traditional 2,000 new businesses are registered in December, the total number could reach 33,000–34,000 companies.

The largest number of Ukrainian companies is in the construction industry. Still, IT businesses, services, and trade also account for a significant share. Experts emphasize that the growth of entrepreneurial activity among Ukrainian citizens benefits both Ukrainian citizens and the Polish economy and state budget.
