Ukrainians’ demand for electric vehicles increased by almost 3%

The Ukrainian electric car market grew by 38% over the year

In January, 3,637 battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) were added to the Ukrainian fleet. According to Ukrautoprom, the demand for electric vehicles increased by almost 3% compared to January last year.

The bulk of electric vehicles registered during the month were passenger cars – 3,499 (new – 646 units, used – 2,853 units).

Among 138 commercial electric vehicles, 37 were new.

Top 5 new electric vehicles:

  • BYD Song Plus EV – 149 units;
  • Zeekr 001 – 59 units;
  • Zeekr 7X – 41 units;
  • Audi I Q4 e-tron – 39 units
  • VW ID.4 – 39 units.

Top 5 used electric vehicles registered in Ukraine for the first time:

  • Nissan Leaf – 355 units;
  • Tesla Model Y – 341 units;
  • Tesla Model 3 – 312 units;
  • Hyundai Kona Electric – 169 units;
  • Kia Niro EV – 155 units.
