The Ukrainian sports club “Leader” from Chernivtsi became the winner of the 20th international karate tournament, the Polish Open, held in the Polish city of Bielsko-Biala. This was reported on Facebook by Honored Coach of Ukraine Oleksandr Pikulin.
The Polish Open is considered one of the most prestigious international karate tournaments in Europe. In total, 1954 athletes from 34 countries of the world, representing 304 teams, came to the competition in Bielsko-Biala. In total, 2818 applications were submitted for the tournament.
According to the performance results, the club “Leader” took first place in the overall standings. Ukrainian karate players won 29 medals: 15 gold, 3 silver, and 11 bronze.
