Construction of the European railroad from the EU border to Lviv will start soon. The government announced the historic news in late February.
Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, said construction will begin in 2024. The European railroad Mostyska – Sknyliv will run from the state border with Poland to Lviv.
Construction was planned to begin in 2020. However, first, the coronavirus pandemic broke out, and then Russia’s full-scale war with Ukraine. The project’s total cost is estimated at more than $20 million.
