Ukrainian festival KobzART to be held in France

The KobzART festival, organized by one of the largest French-Ukrainian associations, AFUCA, will be held in France from May 5 to 15. Since 2017, KobzART has been bringing together Ukrainian friends on the Côte d’Azur every year.

The opening is scheduled for May 5. On this day, there will be an exhibition of cutouts, “Origins,” and a musical performance by Hordii Starukh (lyre).

The festival will also feature an exhibition of works by artist Oleh Lyt.

Artist Daria Alyoshkina will hold a master class on creating vytynanky for children on May 7. The sculptors Zigura brothers (landscape) will hold an artistic master class for adults on May 8.

The “Ukrainian Schools in France” conference is scheduled for May 9 and 10. It is supported by the Embassy of Ukraine in France and the World Congress of Ukrainians. Associations from all over France attend.

On May 10, the Day of Slavic Culture will also feature a concert of lyrical music by Ukrainian performers, Ukrainian treats, and a tour of the Musée des Beaux-Arts.

On May 11, Mila Sadovska’s immersive exhibition “Ukrainian Mythology” will be held in Cannes in partnership with the Ideas Without Borders association. On May 12, an adult tour of Old Nice (in Ukrainian) will be held.

On May 13, at 19:30, the film Bucha will be screened (Pathé Massena Cinema), and on May 14, at 10:00, the cartoon OZI (Pathé Gare du Sud).

The festival will end on May 15, the Day of Embroidery. On this day, a procession to the Promenade des Anglais and a concert with a fair are planned.
