Ukrainian entrepreneur and founder of Geofortia, Elvira Paterson, is set to release her debut children’s book, The Adventures of Robert. Known for her cutting-edge work in autonomous and secure housing, the Ukrainian innovator has creatively translated her company’s core philosophy into engaging stories for children. This upcoming book series aims to teach young readers the fundamentals of personal safety, independence, and psychological resilience in unpredictable situations.
How Ukrainian Resilience and Geofortia Shaped the Narrative
The Geofortia project focuses on developing next-generation self-sustaining homes built around eco-friendly infrastructure and equipped for any real-world scenario. Elvira began exploring these concepts through everyday conversations with her son, Robert.
She quickly realized that dry, clinical explanations regarding safety fail to resonate with kids. Where an adult perceives a risk, a child sees a game or a mystery. She discovered that storytelling was the perfect bridge. This inspired the first book in the series, The Adventures of Robert and the Magic Backpack. The plot directly mirrors the concept of an emergency “go-bag” — a highly practical element of Geofortia’s philosophy that holds deep, personal resonance for modern Ukrainian families who understand the vital importance of preparedness.

Paterson’s Blueprint for Empowering the Next Generation
The standout feature of the book is its seamless blend of a captivating fictional plot with real-world utility. Modern parents are actively seeking literature that entertains while imparting life-saving skills. Through Robert’s journeys, children learn to:
- Keep calm during sudden shifts in their environment;
- Make independent decisions confidently;
- Develop sharp situational awareness;
- Trust their intuition and navigate unfamiliar surroundings.
Importantly, Paterson consciously avoids heavy, alarming imagery or scare tactics. The narrative focuses entirely on self-reliance, positive inner strength, and clear thinking.
For Elvira Paterson, true security is dual-faceted: it requires smart physical architecture and proper psychological framing. While Geofortia engineers safe physical spaces, her book builds the emotional and educational armor children need.
The official book launch will take place on September 26, 2026, in Lisbon, where Elvira and Robert currently reside. Following the launch, the author plans a promotional tour across Portugal and Europe, alongside a global release on Amazon. For the Ukrainian author, this debut represents a powerful expansion of her mission to share the vital rules of safety and resilience with a global audience.
