Ukrainian Day to be held at the Venice Film Festival

The 81st Venice Film Festival La Biennale di Venezia will host the Ukrainian Day this year.

This is known from the official website of the Ukrainian State Film Agency.

According to the organizers – the Ukrainian State Film Agency and the NGO UKRKINOFEST – this is a unique opportunity for the international community to dive into the current state of the Ukrainian film industry, learn more about co-production opportunities, and discuss prospects for future cooperation with Ukraine.

Among the speakers of the event:

– Věra Jourová – European Commission for Values and Transparency Vice President.

– Pascal Diot – Chairman of the Venice Production Bridge.

– Yuliya Shevchuk – Acting Head of the Ukrainian State Film Agency.

– Representative of the Embassy of Ukraine in Italy.

– Mstyslav Chernov – Ukrainian correspondent, director, and photographer, winner of the Oscar and BAFTA Awards 2024 for the documentary 20 Days in Mariupol.

– Kateryna Gaiduk – Head of Distribution, UP HUB.

– Taras Bosak is a general producer at the National Cinematheque of Ukraine.

– Dmytro Sukhanov – producer of Honeymoon in the Biennale College Cinema section of the 81st Venice International Film Festival.

– Andriy Nogin is a producer and the head of the UKRKINOFEST NGO.
