Ukraine won its first medal at the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) Championships. The bronze medal in the weight category up to 87 kg was won by Ukrainian Artem Garbar. Our athlete confidently reached the semifinals, where he lost to the bronze medalist at the 2024 Olympic Games, Italian Alessio Simone.
This award was Artem Garbar’s debut medal at the world championships and the first for Ukrainian men’s taekwondo.
The 2025 World Taekwondo Championship (WTF) in China will last until October 30.
