Ukrainian animation wins best short film at the Emile Awards

The animated film “I Died in Irpen” by Ukrainian director Anastasia Falileeva won the Best of the Best award in the short film category at this year’s Emile Awards.

The Emile Awards celebrate “the excellence and diversity of the European animation industry.” Its name is a tribute to two founders of animation – Emile Reno and Emile Kohl.

Since 2017, the European Animation Awards Association has held the awards ceremony. This year, the event took place in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
