Weapons production in Ukraine doubled in the first eight months of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced at the second International Defense Industries Forum (DFNC2).
At the same time, he said, arms production tripled in 2023.
Shmyhal also said that the government has allocated 65% more funds in the draft state budget for the purchase of weapons and military equipment next year, an increase of almost UAH 300 billion, or $7 billion.
He noted that Ukraine would produce 1.5 million drones in 2024, which was made possible, in part, by attracting and supporting private companies.
