Ukrainian armored vehicles have repeatedly saved the lives of military personnel. A new development, the UGV “Protector” remote-controlled ground robot, will help improve security. It’s hard to call it a drone – the platform weighs 4 tons and can travel 60 km/h.
Ukrainian Armor showed the robotic platform embodied in metal at a defense exhibition in Poland. The company noted that such a development is new to them. The platform can be controlled at a range of 15 km. Currently, there are no developments of this type in Ukraine. Existing platforms have a different configuration, while this one looks like a full-fledged armored vehicle.
The development can be used as a scout, a carrier of drones that can be launched from a dangerous location, transport cargo on the platform, or evacuate the wounded. If the Protector is equipped with weapons, it can be used as a combat robot.
