In the first half of 2025, Ukraine’s regions created an additional 591 MW of new generation capacity. This was announced by Viktor Mykyta, Deputy Head of the Office of the President.
The majority of this capacity was provided by wind and solar power plants, as well as installations in private households.
In particular:
- 84 MW — from wind power plants;
- 101.4 MW — from solar power plants;
- 84 MW — from solar panels in private homes.
Separately, more than 320 MW of capacity was added thanks to cogeneration plants. New mini-TPPs with a total capacity of 1.2 MW also began operating.
