President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander de Kroo have signed a security agreement. It will be valid for the next 10 years.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Belgium will allocate at least €977 million in military aid to Ukraine this year. The agreement also stipulates a specific number of military aircraft to be provided to Ukraine by 2028: 30 F-16 fighters. The first fighters are to be delivered this year.

In the agreement, Belgium guarantees timely security assistance, modern military equipment, and weapons tailored to Ukraine’s needs. At the same time, the agreement has separate blocks dedicated to bilateral cooperation in the defense industry and support for the Ukrainian peace formula, as well as strengthening sanctions and holding Russia accountable for the war in Ukraine.
