Trump's special envoy wants to resolve Russia's war against Ukraine within 100 days of inauguration

Special Representative of US President-elect Donald Trump Keith Kellogg wants to resolve the issue of Russia’s war against Ukraine within 100 days after the inauguration on January 20.

He stated this for Fox News.

“I’d like to set a personal and professional goal; I’d say let’s set it at a hundred days,” he said.

Kellogg believes that Trump will be able to offer Putin and Ukrainian President Zelensky an “acceptable solution “in the short term.

“People need to understand that he’s not trying to give something to Putin or the Russians; he’s actually trying to save Ukraine’s sovereignty and guarantee it. And he’s going to make sure it’s fair and honest,” Keith Kellogg said.

During his election campaign, Trump claimed that he could end the war between Russia and Ukraine “in one day.” After the Republican won the US presidential election, the WSJ wrote that he had not decided how he planned to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Some of his advisers suggested a model where the US would provide Ukrainians with weapons in exchange for Ukraine not joining NATO for 20 years. Under this plan, the front line would be frozen, and both sides would agree to a 1,287-kilometer demilitarized zone.

The WSJ noted that Trump’s advisors plan to freeze the conflict and temporarily suspend Ukraine’s accession to the Alliance.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy repeatedly emphasized that Ukraine would defend its integrity and not give up its territories to Russia. As for NATO, Zelenskyy believes that Ukraine’s accession to the Alliance is a fair “payment” for the country’s giving up all its nuclear weapons in 1996. According to him, NATO membership is now better than any weapon, including nuclear weapons.

On September 27, Zelenskyy met with Donald Trump and presented him with a plan for victory. According to the Ukrainian leader, the meeting was very informative.
