Trump officially becomes a presidential candidate and introduces his vice presidential candidate

After speaking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, US President Donald Trump called for “ideally, a 30-day unconditional ceasefire” and threatened new sanctions if the truce is not respected.

He wrote about this on his social network Truth Social.

The American leader hopes that the decision to establish such a ceasefire will be made and respected. According to him, negotiations with Russia and Ukraine are ongoing.

“As president, I remain committed to securing peace between Russia and Ukraine with the Europeans, and this peace will last! This ceasefire should be a step towards a peace agreement. All of this can be done very quickly, and I am ready to join in at any time if my services are needed,” he added.

He also thanked for “attention to this issue”.
