In the Henley & Partners international ranking, which reflects changes in the visa-free regime of countries worldwide, the Ukrainian passport now ranks 32nd among 104 countries.
Ukrainian citizens can travel without a visa or receive one upon entry to 148 countries. Over the past 10 years, Ukraine has become one of the five countries with the most significant improvement in the ranking (a total increase of 21 positions).
Saint Lucia and Grenada are tied for 32nd place with Ukraine. Passports of citizens of France, Italy, Germany, Japan, Singapore, and Spain remain the ranking leaders, allowing them to visit 194 countries without a visa. Russia is ranked 51st, and Belarus is 64th.
The three lowest positions in the ranking are occupied by Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.
The Henley & Partners Passport Index regularly analyzes the visa regulations of 227 countries and territories, ranking them by the number of countries that can be entered without a visa. The ranking has been compiled for over 10 years in cooperation with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which maintains the world’s largest database of travel information.
