The Ukrainian documentary “Traces,” directed by Alisa Kovalenko and co-directed by Marisa Nikitiuk, won two awards at the 23rd Millennium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival in Poland.
The film received a special mention as “a deeply moving film in which the director masterfully combines the horrific reality of sexual violence during war with a collective portrait of resilience.”
The film “Traces” was produced by 2BraveProductions and Message Film in collaboration with Arte France, SEMA Ukraine, and the Dr. Denis Mukwege Foundation.
