In the first six months of 2026, 79.5 thousand marriages were registered in Ukraine, which is 16% more than last year. Such data was published by Opendatabot with reference to the Ministry of Justice, Ukrinform reports.
“79,516 marriages were registered in Ukraine in the first half of 2026, according to the Ministry of Justice. On average, 13.3 thousand couples get married each month. This is 16% more than last year,” the report says.
However, statistics show that usually more marriages are concluded in the second half of the year. In particular, last year the difference was 41%.
The peak dates in terms of registrations were Valentine’s Day (1,248 couples got married) and the mirror date of June 26, 2026 (2,528 couples).
