In the UK, there are over 26.6 thousand records of companies whose ultimate beneficial owners are about 25.5 thousand Ukrainians. This is stated in a joint study by KNEU professor and financial analyst Roman Kornylyuk, and the YouControl R&D center, Visitukraine.today writes.
The data show: the Ukrainian business presence in the British company register is not just noticeable – it is large-scale, diverse, and often concentrated in areas where entrepreneurial flexibility and digital skills are required.
The analysis shows Ukrainians in two roles at once: managers (directors) and owners (beneficiaries).
Thus, the British register contains over 28.5 thousand records of companies in which Ukrainian citizens are or were directors. These records relate to about 24.9 thousand people in total.
Separately, the register contains 26.6 thousand records of companies, of which approximately 25.5 thousand are beneficiaries of Ukrainian citizens.
