Dutch band Within Temptation, in collaboration with Ukrainian singer Alex Yarmak, premiered a music video for the song A Fool’s Parade. The video was directed by Indy Hait, a Ukrainian of Israeli origin. A Fool’s Parade is the band’s first single after the studio album Bleed Out.
According to the band, this song is an anthem against Russia’s deceptive maneuvers. Through their music, the band continues to shed light on Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine. Moreover, the performers emphasized that all royalties from the video will be donated to the charity initiative of the All-Ukrainian Association of Music Events Music Saves UA.
Interestingly, the video was filmed in Kyiv. Among the filming locations are the ICCM (formerly the October Palace), Makariv village, and Kalynivka village, where large-scale destruction of civilian buildings as a result of Russian shelling and attacks in March 2022 is still visible. Also, the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, the KPI Square of Knowledge, and the Motherland Monument.
The band Within Temptation is also famous for its respect and love for fans. This time, the musicians invited Ukrainian fans to join the filming.
