The date of Usyk's rematch with Dubois for the title of absolute world champion has been announced

Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois’s rematch for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion will take place on July 19 at Wembley Stadium in London.

The American magazine The Ring writes about it, citing sources.

Initially, the fight was scheduled for July 12, but on that day, a boxing evening with fights between Edgar Berlanga, Hamza Shiraz, Shakur Stevenson, and William Cepeda is to take place.

In August 2023, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk defeated Dubois by knockout in the ninth round. However, in the fifth round, Du Bois struck below the belt and said it was a legal punch to the body.

Since then, both boxers have won many times. In particular, Usyk defeated Tyson Fury twice in 2024 in Riyadh, confirming his status as the world’s best heavyweight boxer.

After his victory over Fury, Usyk became the absolute champion but soon left the IBF title to prepare for a rematch with Fury. The International Boxing Federation (IBF) obliged Usyk to fight against Du Bois and recognized the Briton as a full-fledged champion instead of a temporary one.

Daniel Dubois had the most successful fight, hitting out Anthony Joshua in the fifth round at Wembley in September. Subsequently, Dubois entered the ring and challenged Usyk to a rematch.
