Taylor Swift concert caused seismic activity in Zurich
A concert by American singer Taylor Swift caused seismic activity in Zurich, Switzerland.
This is reported by SwissInfo.
Swift’s concert was held on July 9 at the Letzigrund stadium, attended by 50 thousand people. And after the concert, the Swiss seismological service said that eight seismometers detected tremors at a distance of up to six kilometers from the stadium.
The highest readings were recorded after 7 p.m., when Taylor Swift took the stage. Fans greeted the singer with dancing and jumping. This is not the first time that seismic activity has been recorded at Swift’s concerts – in Seattle, it was equated to a magnitude 2.3 earthquake. Similar seismic activity is also observed during football matches.
Swift came to Switzerland as part of her Eras Tour. It has already become the highest-grossing in history – and its revenue exceeded one billion dollars for the first time in the world.
