Superhumans Center has created an art project dedicated to facial injuries

Superhumans Center has created a new art project dedicated to the beauty of people with facial scars. It aims to draw public attention to the problem of perception of facial injuries.

According to the organizers, about 50,000 Ukrainians affected by the war need rehabilitation and prosthetics. The project plans to raise funds for surgeries to repair facial and head injuries.

The Superhumans Center has gathered three people who have burns or any other facial injuries sustained as a result of the war in Ukraine. The Center created a project that showed beauty instead of trauma and a person instead of scars. Each hero was photographed surrounded by different and imperfect colors, “as for many people the concept of beauty next to a facial injury.” Thus, a passerby will be able to look at the photos without fear of being traumatized by their reaction or by looking at people with head injuries.

The project’s protagonists are three Ukrainians – Valentyna, Zakhar, and Oleh. They are united by one common idea: to show others that despite their injuries, they cannot lose their beauty.

The project demonstrates the idea that everyone has the right to be accepted with all their flaws and peculiarities. At the same time, comparison with the best can destroy the power of everyone’s uniqueness. At the moment, all the heroes are waiting for reconstructive facial surgery at the Superhumans Center and dreaming of victory.
