The organizing committee of the Miss Universe Ukraine contest has selected a new representative for the international competition. The winner of the main title is 25-year-old Sofia Tkachuk, a native of the Rivne region who has been living in Barcelona for over 20 years.
Sofia moved to Spain with her family at the age of four. She has a bachelor’s degree in finance from EAE Business School and is fluent in English and Spanish. Tkachuk is currently an entrepreneur studying macroeconomics and investment mechanisms.
The model also has experience in humanitarian missions: she worked at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and coordinated projects in cooperation with UNICEF. She participated in the development of alternative methods of pain relief for patients with serious illnesses.
According to the beauty queen, although her education and professional development took place outside Ukraine, her connection with her homeland remained deep, both in her daily activities and in her active civic stance.
Sofia will represent Ukraine at the Miss Universe international competition, which will take place this November in Thailand.
