The company that owns the Pornhub service has finally registered as a value-added tax (VAT) payer as an electronic services provider.
Danylo Hetmantsev, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation, and Customs Policy, announced this.
“So now we can monitor the conscientious payment of taxes not only by OnlyFans,” Hetmantsev said.
According to him, the adult platform OnlyFans brought $700 thousand to the state budget in the first quarter of 2024 alone. In addition, as of April this year, 17 more companies providing electronic services have become taxpayers, Hetmantsev added.
Today, 78 out of 105 taxpayers have declared their tax liabilities for UAH 2.4 billion.
The largest VAT payers for digital services — Google, Apple, META platforms, and Valve Corporation — declared and paid more than UAH 2 billion before the deadline.
