Volodymyr and Olena Zelensky arrived in New York, where the 80th anniversary session of the UN General Assembly kicked off. It will become the main platform for discussing global challenges and strengthening international cooperation. In particular, the situation in Ukraine will be in the spotlight.
As part of the working trip, the First Lady of Ukraine held several important meetings, including with Queen Silvia of Sweden and Queen Mathilde of Belgium.
Taking the opportunity, Olena Zelenska thanked the Queen of Sweden for expanding the activities of her Childhood Foundation in Ukraine.
This year, the Queen, together with her daughter, Crown Princess Victoria, received Ukrainian children who suffered from Russian aggression and were being treated at the Karolinska University Hospital at the Royal Palace of Sweden.
During a conversation with Queen Mathilde, the First Lady of Ukraine thanked her for Belgium’s participation in the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, which already includes 41 states.
