The band Okean Elzy has presented the second track from its debut English-language album Lighthouse (translated from English as Lighthouse). The song of the same name featuring John Resnick, frontman of the rock band Goo Goo Dolls, is already available to watch along with the video.
“The lighthouse is a very powerful metaphor for me. As a Ukrainian, I couldn’t think of a better metaphor to express our hope for the future, which is why the song and album have this title,” explained Okean Elzy’s lead singer Svyatoslav Vakarchuk.
The song was produced by John Feldman (Blink 182, Avril Lavigne, 5 Seconds of Summer) and co-written by Sviatoslav Vakarchuk together with Feldman and Eva Arnby Buzaker (5 Seconds of Summer, Landon Barker), as well as featuring Travis Barker on drums. Part of the proceeds from the song will be donated to the United24 platform.
