“No “criticality status”: the Ministry of Culture answered whether Ziferblat will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest

The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine has suspended the issuance of letters of authorization for artists and journalists with military service to travel abroad since March 3, as new rules have come into effect. However, in May, Switzerland will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, for which Ukrainians have chosen the band Ziferblat as their representative. Whether Ziferblat complies with the new rules was discussed at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy.

“The band will not have the status of criticality, but we will think about how to send it away,” said Halyna Hryhorenko, deputy head of the Ministry of Culture and head of the State Agency of Ukraine for Arts and Art Education.

She assured that politicians would find a solution.
