Joe Biden addresses Americans after Trump’s assassination attempt
U.S. President Joe Biden addressed the nation from the Oval Office of the White House, in which he once again condemned the assassination attempt on his political opponent Donald Trump. He emphasized the need to “lower the temperature” in politics.
The President called on Americans to fight for democracy and defend their views through the ballot box – without violence. The American leader also called on his compatriots to get out of “the bunkers where we listen only to those with whom we agree.” In his address to the nation, Biden warned of disinformation and “foreign actors who are fanning the flames of our division” to get favorable election results.
