Learning English in kindergartens will become mandatory from September 1, 2026. The staffing standards for preschool education institutions provide for the introduction of an English teacher position for each senior preschool group. A Methodological Guide for Educators has been developed with practical recommendations for planning and conducting English classes in senior preschool groups.
Professional development of teachers is provided through a national platform created by the Ministry of Education and Science, taking into account international experience and modern approaches to early language learning. The platform’s content was developed in cooperation with the British Council and Cambridge University Press & Assessment. The specialized section “Preschool Educators” comprises five methodological sections and 49 educational materials totaling 30 hours, focused on practical application and adapted to the age characteristics of preschool children.
