Lenox Hill Hospital, part of the Northwell healthcare system, has founded its own film studio in the United States. The production company CreativeChaos vmg became a partner.

The hospital and its employees have become popular after the success of the Netflix series of the same name, Lenox Hill, and the documentary about the first days of COVID-19, First Wave.
However, according to Northwell CEO Michael Dowling, Lenox Hill did not receive any money from these shows.
He explains the decision to launch his own film studio by saying that watching real doctors is more interesting than watching actors playing them. At the same time, it will be a good advertisement for the medical institution – viewers who have seen the show are likely to recommend the hospital to their friends.
Now there will be even more TV shows and movies about doctors and their work – Lenox Hill has already started working on five new projects.
However, opening a movie studio on the hospital’s premises raises the issue of patient confidentiality, which is required by law. The management says they have not had any problems getting permission to film from patients in any of their previous shows.
